Be the Light Vinyasa Flow
Class Description:
Join us for an inspiring, evening 60-minute Vinyasa Flow Yoga class led by Kristen Freeman, designed to illuminate your inner light as we navigate the seasonal shifts and the hustle of the holidays. This special class, in support of NAMI and Lighter Candles, supports your nervous system with a focus on mental and physical wellbeing, fostering a sense of calm and clarity and inner trust.
As we flow through a series of invigorating postures, Kristen will guide you in finding balance and grounding, encouraging a mindful awareness that helps to ease tension and restore peace. With a focus on gratitude and self-compassion, this practice is perfect for all levels, whether you’re a seasoned yogi or new to the mat.
Suggested Props:
For class optional props include 2 yoga blocks and any cozy things like blankets, cushions, towels, warms socks, and eye covers you’d like for savasana. If you don’t have blocks and you want them, whatever you have in your home to help bring the ground closer to you will do, stacks of books, sanitizer containers, be creative!
During class, we encourage you to light candles, symbolizing hope and resilience and reclaiming and honoring the inner light within each of us. Together, we’ll cultivate a sense of worthiness and joy, preparing us to embrace the upcoming season with open hearts.

LIGHTER is an amazing company that sells candles to fight the darkness with all donation proceeds going to mental health organizations like NAMI. NAMI Chicago promotes community wellness, breaks down barriers to mental health care, and provides support and expertise for families, professionals, and individuals in Chicago and beyond.
