Sonic Flow Yoga LIVE from We the People Fitness Studio

with Maria Rosner

Class Description:

Embrace. Uplift.  Empower.

These are the themes for World Autism Awareness Day 2025, an international observance dedicated to celebrating the unique perspectives and talents that people with autism bring to their communities.  It’s also the theme of a unique yoga and live music collaboration between two Chicago parents who have kids on the autism spectrum.

Join longtime yoga teacher, Maria Rosner, and DJ Josh Young, aka Yehme2, in a sonic symphony of movement, breath, and music.  This uptempo flow class will amplify and awaken your awareness, connecting you to the collective consciousness of everyone else in the room, not unlike the feeling you get at a concert.

“The light and divinity that resides in me honors and acknowledges the light and divinity in you.”  Let’s put that Namaste attitude into practice!

Suggested Props:

For class optional props include 2 yoga blocks and any cozy things like blankets, cushions, towels, warms socks, and eye covers you’d like for savasana. If you don’t have blocks and you want them, whatever you have in your home to help bring the ground closer to you will do, stacks of books, sanitizer containers, be creative!

Maria’s Cause:

All donations go to Maria’s chosen nonprofit Autism Speaks to help them create an inclusive world for all individuals with autism throughout their lifespan through advocacy, services, supports, research and innovation, and advances in care for autistic individuals and their families.

All donations will count towards Maria’s team Revolution Riders and Striders riding/walking in Autism Speaks’ inaugural Empower Summit and Challenge in downtown Chicago on May 3rd.
